We have a fantastic opportunity for a guest focused and sales driven Commercial Team Leader at SEA LIFE Brighton on a fixed term basis who can deliver elite first impressions to our guests!

Working here no two days are ever the same and our Commercial team are fizzing with fun and a vital ingredient in the guest experience! Therefore, we’re looking for someone who strives for the best and isn’t afraid to swim upstream.

What you need

  • Loads of experience working in a busy customer facing environment where the customer experience is at the heart of everything
  • Passion and be able to bring a friendly, confident personality
  • Previous Team Leader experience (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills and can build solid working relationships and rapport with our guests and staff
  • The ability to drive initiatives, empower and mentor team members to achieve phenomenal results
  • The confidence to deal with any day to day problems/complaints being able to resolve issues quickly and optimally

First and foremost, you’ll be working on the front-line in our retail and coffee shop areas, welcoming and greeting guests, managing queues and guest flow, coordinating large groups, as well as selling experiences, guides, and other products from our retail shop.

You’ll provide an outstanding first impression through your confident, engaging, and friendly personality, making the entry to our attraction just as memorable as the fun that lies inside.

As the team leader, you’ll be a role model for the wider team, buddying up with new team members and providing ongoing mentoring and training to the team, setting an example of what great sales technique and customer service is.

You’ll support with the daily running of the department, as well as guest complaints and anything that gets in the way of a smooth operation, finding solutions and getting things back on track. You’ll also help drive the success of the sales strategy in retail and ensure staff are actively upselling products at every opportunity.

This is a full-time fixed term role, contracted up until late November 2022. You’ll be working any 5 days from 7, including working a regular fair share of weekends and bank holidays as required.
