To work across the children and young peoples services supporting the registered manager, you will take the lead on all OFSTED duties and be responsible for devising and delivering a wide range of creative, safe, and fun social recreational activities for children and young people with complex physical needs or those living with a learning disability. Ensure that all contracts are appropriately monitored and evaluated and promote continuous improvement in service performance in terms of quality and outcomes, including responsibility for OFSTED compliance.

Duties include:

Working alongside colleagues to turn the Children & Young People’s vision and mission into a reality.

Be responsible for OFSTED compliance.

Plan structured sessions and activities based on identified need that meets desired outcomes.

Devise and implement staff rotas for all staff to ensure continuity of service for all locations under the post holders control, this includes staffing sessions to the correct ratios and working with the operations manager to ensure ratios for domiciliary care calls for children.

To provide frontline support and leadership during sessions as and when required.

Ensure there is flexibility to participate covering care calls as agreed with the business needs for the service, covering early morning, evenings and weekends.

To participate in an out of hours on call duties as outlined designed to meet the needs of the service.

Embrace person centred approaches to recruit, lead, manage and support a team of Support Workers to include induction, supervision and supporting HR, personnel and training needs.

Support the marketing & promoting of the services to children, young people, their family’s and potential referral agencies in both the statutory & voluntary sectors.

To undertake, review and ensure good quality risk assessments and Person Centred plans are in place to support the needs of children and young people engaging with the service.

To identify and act upon any safeguarding or child protection issues in relation to multiagency guidelines, ensuring compliance in relation to the guidelines.

To work in partnership with other services and partner agencies to ensure that the needs of individuals are met and understood.

To lead or participate in multi-agency meetings regarding individuals (CIN/CP Reviews) as and when appropriate.

Lead team meetings and ensure that problems are resolved and strategies created for the management of the service.

Participate in planned regular meetings with Children and Young Persons Operational Manager and other colleagues.

Adhere to and implement organisational policies and procedures.

Process and manage referrals.

Use a range of techniques to record and report upon outcomes met and to provide periodic reports as required.

To collate relevant data to enable robust monitoring and evaluation of the service.

To ensure equipment and resources are managed and maintained.

To carry out day to day financial and administration tasks.

To take a lead role with all Ofsted and support the registered manager in all other regulatory inspections, i.e. CQC.

To work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service including mornings, evenings, weekends and occasional residential trips.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £28,000.00 per year
